Level 4 Food Safety Refresher training course

About the course

The Advanced Food Hygiene Refresher Course is aimed at those who have achieved Intermediate and/or Advanced level certification more than 2 years ago will provide delegates with an up-date on essential knowledge acquired when previously attending Intermediate and Advanced courses.

Those who have only previously attended an Intermediate level course will also benefit from a more in-depth examination of HACCP which is not normally covered on the Intermediate course.

The course will help delegates keep their knowledge up-to-date since obtaining their certificates. The course has been designed by Norman Gentry Consulting which is an accredited training centre with several awarding bodies.

Who should attend?
  • Anyone who holds an advanced certificate in food safety or hygiene
  • Managers who hold an intermediate certificate in food safety or hygiene
Course Content:
The course covers the following topics:
  • Group work – food safety successes and difficulties
  • 2014 Food Labelling Legislation
    • Key areas of the regulation include:
      • Allergen information
      • Nutrition labelling
    • Creating a Food Safety Culture
    • Updates to Safer Food Better Business and Cook Safe
    • Food Hygiene Regulations 2013
    • Emerging Food safety and hygiene issues

Assessment Method:

Certificates of attendance will be sent to all delegates.

Delivery Method:

By use of up to date videos, handouts and group work etc in an informal setting, either on your premises or in our training room. Each student receives a copy of the textbook and handouts.

Course Evaluation:

At the end of the course, as part of our quality monitoring procedures and to contribute to the on-going development and improvement of the programme, all delegates will be asked to complete a course evaluation.

Suggested progression on completion:

Level Award in HACCP in Catering or the Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing
